Our Mission

To grow in the knowledge and love of God as revealed in Jesus Christ by seeking and serving Christ in all persons and continuing in the Apostle’s teaching and fellowship.

About St. James

Our church campus sits on three acres in Jackson, Mississippi's Fondren neighborhood. The church building, completed in 1956, seats 400 worshipers under a beautiful vaulted ceiling.

Duncan Gray Sr. Hall serves as our education center, while Fowler Hall houses our parish hall and administrative offices. Outdoor spaces include a labyrinth, a children’s garden, and a spacious backyard for gatherings.

Worship & Music

Worship at St. James centers on traditional liturgy enriched by a vibrant music ministry. Services feature hymns from the 1986 Hymnal and opportunities for lay ministry. The music ministry includes choirs, instrumentalists, and special performances during feast days.

Sundays consist of three service times:

  • 7:30 am Rite I Holy Eucharist
  • 10:40 am Rite II Holy Eucharist
  • 11:05 am Rite II Holy Eucharist (recorded for online viewing)
