A Modified Montessori Program for Jackson

St. James’ School strives to provide a rich learning environment for children which promotes and supports the spiritual, emotional, social, cognitive and physical needs of the developing young child. We aim to support the growth of each child to his or her fullest potential. Utilizing a balanced educational system of combined curriculums, we focus on following the child and encouraging the exploration of preschool concepts necessary for success in future educational environments.

Our program provides opportunities for each child to grow and learn through a variety of structured activities and free play experiences. Experiences and activities are individualized to meet the needs of each child at his or her own stage of development. The St. James’ School believes that its ultimate purpose is to give young children the finest preparation for life by fostering self-confidence and enthusiasm for learning.

The St. James’ School is a five day a week, licensed educational center operating Monday through Friday for children who are within the ages of eight weeks old through children in their pre-kindergarten year of school. A child’s age as of September 1st, will be used for decision of placement into the classroom.  St. James’ School’s mission is to follow each child’s individual needs, adjusting the curriculum and materials so that each child is served to their capacity.

The St. James’ School is open from August until May, from 8:15am until 12:00pm, with an option for Extended Day until 2:00pm. Registration begins in January. Please contact Kathryn Briscoe at kbriscoe@stjjax.org for further information.
